Didem Gordon

Didem Gordon graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration in 1986, completed the Finance/MBA program at San Diego State University. He completed in 2003 the Investment Management program offered jointly by the CFA Institute and Harvard University.
Gordon commenced his professional career at Mitsui Manufacturers Bank in the Corporate Banking department and served as a senior executive at leading domestic and foreign-owned banks and investment institutions in the Turkish banking and capital markets.
She served as Assistant General Manager at Koçbank and Yapı Kredi Bank in the banking sector, and as CEO at Finansinvest, Koç Portföy, Yapı Kredi Portföy, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Ashmore Portföy, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Yapı Kredi Investment Trust, and a member of the Board of Directors and Credit Committee at Yapı Kredi Yatırım. Gordon, who, in his career spanning more than 30 years, has focused on the realization of initiatives that will strengthen Türkiye's position among emerging markets, has contributed to various committees and think-tanks in the areas of Corporate Governance regulations and Index, Licensing criteria for Investment Professionals, Code of Ethics and Professional Standards, Sustainability Index, Financial Literacy, and Increasing Domestic Savings. In this period, he served as a member of the Audit Committee at Borsa Istanbul, as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Legislation and Tax Committee at TKYD, and as a sector representative in the formation of the current Capital Markets Law. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Capital Markets Association of Türkiye and as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of SPL (Capital Markets Licensing, Registration and Training Organization). Gordon, who is a senior advisor to venture capital and private equity funds in the US and UK, founded Phaida Ventures in Estonia in 2018 to support impact investing projects and technology startups in emerging markets and advised and mentored impact-oriented projects.
Gordon is also a member of the Board of Directors of Link Computer. Gordon holds a CFA Institute ESG (Environmental, Social, Corporate Governance) Investment Certificate and holds Capital Markets Level 3 and Derivatives Licenses.
